ECOA members have built an industry to deal with Disasters, big and small. They are constantly evolving to deal with, and improve its ability to minimise the impact on society and the environment.
Disasters need collaboration and cooperation. ECOA members design, build and offer services which can prevent, respond or mitigate disasters.
Be part of Europe's first pan-region industry association for oil spill and marine pollution companies.
ECOA is a membership association created for the European marine spill industry. It exists to promote, connect and support the companies and organisations working across oil spill response, marine pollution prevention, response, clean-up, monitoring, training, remediation and related services.
Launched in partnership with the French organisation Sycopol, ECOA has been developed to give the sector a pan-European platform.
The association is industry-focused, European in scope and built around practical value for members.

The European oil spill industry was built around the equipment, expertise and resources needed to respond and manage major spill disasters.
Today, the challenge is wider. Europe now faces broader marine pollution risks, changing environmental pressures and growing geopolitical threats, including high-risk areas such as the Baltic region.
ECOA has been created to cooperate with existing national organisations in countries such as Norway, France and the UK, bringing the wider European sector together through one collective industry group.

ECOA membership is open to companies, organisations and professionals working across the oil spill and marine pollution sector, including:
Manufacturers of booms, skimmers, sorbents, dispersants and related equipment or materials
Oil spill response companies and marine pollution specialists
Surveillance, monitoring and environmental technology providers
Service providers covering response, training, remediation and consultancy
Research bodies, innovation companies and technical specialists
Ports, harbours, marine operators and coastal infrastructure organisations
